Before reading this, please get into the mindset of Caitlin. Imagine a cynical sarcastic techie… I know, it’s so hard to imagine…
I’m so glad you decided to tell people about yourself and the current Homestead production. What is your name and what exactly do you do for this show?
Caitlin Brown, I do mainly painting, I also dabble in props (I have to find pieces of paper for a post office) and I’m basically Bob the Builder because I cut trim for 1 door AND 2 windows!
As a member of the crew, can you tell me what you are building? What is the set or costumes? What will this show look like?
I’m working on the set for the One Act show which is going to look like a town square. Costumes are going to be the 50th outfit the actors pick out to show Figg which is when she’ll eventually give up because it’s not matching her idea. It’s going to be a really happy show with really happy things (except the demonic Chucky doll) and will not make anyone cry, just ask Nadia she was laughing the whole time. (*wink*wink)
What is your favorite part of working on this production? What is the most challenging?
I love the people and the most challenging part is time, painting, set design, building, and anything to do resulting in work.
How did you join Crew? What led you to stage crew?
I have no memory of how I found out stage crew existed but I joined because I love making things and who doesn’t love being able to create things to make a life-size doll house.
Do you have a fun or funny story from your time in the HHS Theatre Department?
No. Theatre is no laughing matter.
What’s one thing that is different in this production than anything else we’ve done in the Homestead Theatre Department?
Making over 100 rocks out of foam.
Anything else you want to talk about?
Never agree to make over 100 rocks out of foam.
