Who are you? What year are you? What are your interests?
Hey! My name is Jaci Robar, and I am a junior. I like to draw and animate, play video games, bake, shop, hang out with my friends, and of course, theater!
What exactly do you do for Peter and the Starcatcher?
My role in Peter and the Starcatcher is mainly ensemble, which essentially means that I get to play a few different roles, like a sailor, a pirate, a mollusk, and my favorite, a mermaid!
What brought you to join the cast for Peter and the Starcatcher?
My interest in theater started in 2021 when I saw that Cinderella auditions and workshops were up in early November, and I instantly fell in love and performing and acting, and I have been in every show since.
Do you have any stories from rehearsals, practices or crew sessions?
There are a myriad of stories that I could share from rehearsals, but I think that the one moment I will talk is about when Ryan Kramer got his costume for “Mermaid Outta Me” and during the song, would open these vegetable steamers, and I could not stop laughing. There were so many funny moments in the early developments of the show, and I cherish those moments.
Peter and the Starcatcher is a prequel to Peter Pan and a comedy about finding your own path and how you fit in the world. How have you connected to the story?
I feel like I connect to the Story of Peter and The Starcatcher because like Peter, I have struggled to find my place in this world, and I have fought to be who I am much like Peter has. One day, I hope I will be able to find myself fully like Peter has
What do you hope the audience will be thinking about in the car as they drive home after this show?
I hope the audience will think that the show is hilarious but also calls out to them. I want them to be laughing on the floor, or give a small chuckle when they remember the silly scenes of the show, but also learn from the more serious parts of the show
