I’m Cole and I help the crew with just about anything, I do both building and painting and I will also be running the sounds for the show.. I hope I don’t mess up..!
As a member of the crew, can you tell me what you are building? What is the set or costumes? What will this show look like?
So far we have built the walls and the door frames of the set, expect a trapezoid looking set
What is your favorite part of working on this production? What is the most challenging?
Honestly I love just being able to be busy, whether it’s building or painting. But my absolute favorite is when I get to use the sander after spackling the walls. The most challenging part was definitely putting up the walls on the stage and getting them flush, a lot of “forward more” and “a little backwards” was said…
How did you join Crew? What led you to stage crew, costumes, or make-up?
I joined stage crew last year because I wanted to put myself out there more, and theater seemed to be pretty inclusive! If only I knew how much of my free time I had to sacrifice…
Do you have a fun or funny story from your time in the HHS Theatre Department?
During last year’s production of Pirates of Penzance, 6 of us got dressed up as pimps and we all snipped a chunk of our hair and taped it onto a piece of paper with little drawings of all of us. Basically how the pimp crew originated, have our own instagram groupchat even..
Anything else you want to talk about?
I’m running out of paint to peel in the paint shack
