Meet the Artist: Camryn Bennett

My name is Camryn Bennett and I’m a Sophomore. I like fashion, sewing, and stuff like that, and I also love to bake for people and watch movies.

This is my first year in One Act. I wanted to take this class for more creative freedom with costumes and a way to communicate my ideas and creativity. It is what I thought it would be but I have learned that there is so much to a show that involves collaborating between everyone.

The play is about how Everyman is chosen to die by God and give a reckoning of his life but he doesn’t want to go alone so he tries to have people come with him. Throughout the play, he realizes that it is a journey that you take alone and that only through embracing life, you can find contentment with death. I helped make the costumes that brought the characters to life.

Do you have any stories from class that you wish to share?
Caitlin Brown became one of my favorite people this year through One Act. She has turned out to be a good friend.

What’s different this year about the One Act class?
We are very connected with each other and help one another

Tell us a random fact about yourself.
I hate talking about myself.
