Who are you? What year are you? What are your interests?
Hey, I’m Ellie P! I’m a sophomore. I rock climb, hike, longboard, and ski. I am on the girl’s varsity ski race team at Homestead and race for a club at Holy Hill.
What exactly do you do for Alice in Wonderland?
I’m head of costumes, I create costumes for the show, stitch rips, and help with quick changes.
What brought you to join the crew for Alice in Wonderland??
I had lots of friends in the show and I didn’t want to act. I prefer the hard work backstage. I love making outfits, so this was perfect!
Do you have any stories from rehearsals, practices or crew sessions?
When we were working on the cards one day, we all just burst out laughing and I don’t even remember why? We laughed so hard, and Figg walked in on us, and we could not stop laughing!
What is the most challenging thing you’ve built or created for this show?
The playing cards, and the birds were the most difficult costumes this year.
What’s one thing that is different in this play or rehearsal process than anything else we’ve done in the Homestead Theatre Department?
Costumes as a whole is being structured differently this year, to days we come in, how we divide our work, and more! We even have crew bonding days!
Anything else you want to talk about?
This show has been so much fun, and I’m sad that the seniors I love are leaving this year. time flys 🙂
