Sometimes, when I see photos like this, I can’t wrap my mind around how people can focus on giving natural, nuanced performances while surrounded by people pointing screens and cameras at them. Film acting is such a different world than stage acting. I can’t imagine the mindset necessary to stop and start from various places in a character’s arc with a ton of technical shit to worry about; stage acting gives us the opportunity to experience an arc from start to finish both as an audience and as a performer. One medium isn’t better than the other, they’re just so fascinatingly different in the skill sets they require.
