I play the roles of Momma Ogre, the Ugly Duckling, a Farquuadian Guard, and a bit of the Dragon!
Is there something from rehearsals you can share with us?
I think in this Cast, in particular, it’s really interesting and amazing that nearly everyone knows the words to every song, no matter if they’re part of it or not, we’re simply in love with the soundtrack!
What’s challenging about bringing this script to life?
Definitely making each and every one of us fully immersed in our characters, there’s a lot of life in each individual part, keeping that flame going it challenging!
What’s challenging about bringing the world of Shrek to the stage (set, make-up, costumes wise)
The makeup and costumes are INSANE. I haven’t a clue how we’re going to accomplish it, but I’m sure we will.
What will the audience be thinking about in the car as they drive home after this show?
I never thought Shrek would make such a good musical!
How is this production bringing something new to this story?
We’re bringing each and every one of our personal flair to our roles, something that cannot be replicated or replaced.

Honestly, nearly everyone! Everyone is fitting so beautifully into their roles, I can’t think of just one!
If you could play any other character in this show, who would it be?
Definitely Fiona or the Dragon, I miss being more important in all honesty… (Note From Figg: You are important Gwen, the show wouldn’t be the same without you.)
If someone was going to make your life into a movie, who would play you?
Danny Levy for sure.
When did you first perform?
On stage for acting it was fall of sophomore year, otherwise, I have been performing piano pieces for years.
When you have a five-minute break during rehearsal, what do you spend that time doing?
Drink all the water I can find and finally sit down.
If you had a magic wand, what show would you do next?
…this one…again… (Note from Figg: I need ideas!)
What’s your perfect Sunday afternoon look like?
To be honest it would probably be at rehearsal…
My darling Gwen!
I’m so proud of you and your accomplishments. It was winderful to read your interview. I loom foeward to seeing you perform.
Lovingly,
GMA Kris
